Peterborough United to play Arsenal

Arsenal under 21s have joined Peterborough United, Cambridge United and Northampton Town in the group stages of next season’s EFL Trophy.

The young Gunners were placed with Posh and their neighbours in today’s draw (July 12). Posh will play Arsenal and Cambridge at home and travel to Northampton on dates to be confirmed.

Posh and Arsenal were both knocked out of the competition by eventual winner Portsmouth last season.
