Peterborough United plan to go on a tour of the United States and this summer’s friendly schedule
Peterborough United co-owner Darragh MacAnthony intends to take his club on a pre-season tour of the United States.
MacAnthony, who has returned to the UK from his Florida base for an eight-week stay to attend to club business, had planned to visit New York and Boston with the club this summer until the Covid-19 pandemic struck. They will revisit the idea in the future.
Posh will now spend time in the middle of August at the England squad’s training base at St George’s Park where they will take on Stoke City Under 23s and Derby County in friendlies on successive days.
Posh are at League Two side Mansfield for a friendly tomorrow (August 11, noon) which will be played over two 60 minute periods and they take on Lincoln City on Saturday (August 15).
Posh then tackle Colcjester United from League Two before finishing their pre-season programme with a home match against Coventry City on August 29 at the Weston Homes Stadium.
