Peterborough United keen to send midfielder out on loan

Peterborough United remain keen to send attacking midfielder Serhat Tasdemir out on loan to a League Two side before tomorrow’s (October 16, 5pm) transfer deadline.

“Serhat needs games to continue his development,” Posh manager Darren Ferguson stated.

“The plan with him is to spend a whole season with the right League Two club and for him to then come back to us with a lot of experience under his belt.

“I don’t want to send him to non-league football as he’s too good for that.”

Tasdemir’s Posh options will be limited this season with both Sammie Szmodics and Ryan Broom ahead of him in the ‘number 10’ pecking order.

Oldham Athletic are known to have shown interest in Tasdemir. The 20 year-old has started just one League One match since moving to Posh from Fylde in July, 2019.
