Peterborough United have a £1 million windfall riding on Jack Marriott and Derby County

Peterborough United stand to gain a cool £1 million if Derby win promotion to the Premier League this season.

The windfall would be due as part of the £4 million transfer deal that took striker Jack Marriott to Derby in July, 2018.

The Rams are three points and three places outside the Championship play-off spots with four games to go.

Marriott is currently recovering from surgery, but has played enough matches for Derby this season to trigger the bounus payment.

Posh missed out on £100k from Christian Burgess’ transfer to Portsmouth after Pompey lost in the League One play-offs to Oxford on Monday (July 16).
