Peterborough United fans spot the difference in intensity, tempo, aggression, and praise FBT, JCH and others, co-owner happy with the win and performance in the last home game without fans (hopefully)!

Peterborough United fans were full of praise for the manager and the players after a two-game losing sequence came to a satisfactory end at the Weston Homes Stadium last night (November 24).

A single goal from top scorer Jonson Clarke-Harris was enough to beat Plymouth, but the 1-0 final scoreline did not do justice to a dominant display from the team in second place in League One.

We asked fans what made the difference last night and to nominate a man-of-the-match. All replies to @PTAlanSwann on Twitter.

A dominant and controlled win. Importantly in the last home game without fans (subject to Boris changing his mind). I’ve so missed games without a crowd and I am excited for Tuesday 8th December.

Thought Kent and Beevers magnificent Swanny. Taylor a class act and front 3 played closer together which helped cause more problems. All round energy and tempo better though compared to the previous 2 matches.

@MattStevenson11

Great to see Blake-Tracy playing again. Over time he will prove to be a really good signing considering his limited Football League experience. Difference tonight was a very poor opponent and playing the ball forward quicker (when on the deck). Kent or Beevers MOM.

@Sweeney95Alex

We were better tonight. Let’s hope the blip is over.

@Mgdservices1972

1. Quicker and more positive. 2. Narrower front three much better. 3. Broom looked like natural first team player and stepped in well. 4.Szmodics v good player, but still lacking confidence. Too many misplaced passes so lucky not to give up even more chances MoM Broom or Kent.

Started with a lot more tenacity, opposition were not high quality. Need Szmodics to get a hat trick on Saturday.

@fjsteward

The differences: intensity, pressing & work rate out of possession, better ball speed, width higher up pitch with wing-backs playing forward quicker, getting players around ball to support JCH, won midfield battle & lots of secondnd balls first half, having a left footed left centre-back. MOM Taylor or Dembele.

@ReportPosh

Thought our pressing and movement were brilliant in the first-half. Second-half was very nervy and my man of match either Beevers or Blake-Tracy. I like our movement in midfield with Broom and Szomodics playing in Clarke-Harris.

@bumblesixteen

Slick, purposeful first-half, mediocre second-half, but the stats say we’re second in the league. I’ll take that MOM Frankie Kent/

Blake-Tracy and Kent bringing the ball out of defence, plus not having JCH isolated made a big difference. If Szmodics can get a goal it would move us up a level.

@Dave_Adcock

Lots of energy in our pressing. Better individual performances contributed to an overall improvement. Finishing still poor, should have been a rout.

@DANPUFC1988

Difference was Fergie tweaking his formation as it allowed Dembele & Szmodics to get close to JCH so he was actually effective. MOM for me was Mark Beevers, dealt with everything in the air and very composed with the ball at his feet.

@juppy95

Having Blake-Tracy playing gave back three natural balance. Taylor MOM.
