Posh will also have the chance to record their first league double of the season after dispatching the Blues 3-0 at home in September.

Birmingham come into the match amidst rumours about manager Lee Bowyer’s position and unrest from the fans at the poor ownership and lack of direction the club seems to have.

LIVE BLOG: Birmingham vs Posh

Key Events

  • 3pm kick-off
  • Callum Morton fit for first involvement
  • Ronnie Edwards faces race to be fit
  • Posh could complete first double of the season
  • Birmingham ended a 7-match winless run on Saturday against Barnsley

All about keeping the ball now for Posh. They’re making a decent fist of that. JCH holding the ball up well, wins a free-kick for Posh on the edge of the Blues box.

Posh full of confidence now. Morton is causing all kinds of problems, he breaks down the left again, as for the penalty, jinks past his man and slides it to Poku to shoot on the edge of the box. Shame it’s scuffed horribly over.

Just before that, Benda made a great save with his feet from Gardner, what an important save that was.

JONSON CLARKE-HARRIS MAKES NO MISTAKE

Morton pushed over in the box by Roberts.

Not much action this half. Neither side staking a claim to score the next goal. Posh seeing more of the ball.

As I say that, Mumba slides a ball through to Morton in the box, he makes the run and looks to slide it under an on-rushing Etheridge. He’s covered his ground well and makes the block.

Change in midfield for Birmingham. Gary Gardner for Sunjic.

Posh bring on Morton for his debut in place of Marriott.

Great header out by Taylor.

Bit of a midfield battle, neither side able to find a killer pass in the final third. Birmingham win a corner though, Kent blocks Bela’s cross well.

He’s hobbling over the to touchline, looks like he’ll atleast try to carry on.
