Posh come into this off the back of another disappointing away performance at Coventry, losing 3-0, but can take heart from the fact that they were exceptional in their last home outing against Birmingham, winning 3-0 on that occasion.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, come into the match looking to reclaim the top spot they lost to West Brom last night (September 28). The Cherries are yet to lose in the league this year and have a range of attacking threats Posh need to be wary of.

  • 0-0 FT
  • Dembele has a chance to start but unlikely
  • Clarke-Harris is available as appeal hearing date still not set
  • Bournemouth have not lost in the league this season
  • The Cherries will go top of the league with a win

Great block from a goalbound shot from Anthony by Coventry from the edge of the box. The ball ended up at his feet after a lucky deflection after Posh tried to clear the ball after Thompson tracked all the way back to put his body between himself and Solanke on the left. .

He’s made it back on and looks like he’s going to try and continue. He needs to, Posh have used all their changes.

The changes appear to have given Posh a bit of energy but a worry here for Posh. Thompson looks in trouble and it could be his knee. He goes in for a 50-50 with Zemura, the Bournemouth player falls backwards into Thompson and his weight goes onto Thompson’s planted leg.

Powderpuff effort from JCH bounces into the keeper’s hands.

Route one stuff from Posh. Ward takes done a goal kick on the left with a brilliant touch, finds Burrows in the centre of the pitch and he is bundled over. Central free-kick about 35 yards from goal.

Bournemouth sub 69 mins

Brooks doesn’t shake off that knock taken by being clattered by Butler. Jamal Lowe comes on.

Signs of life straight away from Anthony, skips by Thompson, puts a cross in, which Solanke is interested in but Cornell is off his line well.

Final sub as Szmodics replaces Grant, done in a break in play while Brooks in os the floor. He’s not moving freely but the game continues.

Dembele had drifted out of the game but it’s always a big call to take him off, given he has those moments in him. Ward goes out to the left. Dembele seemed fine but there’s a chance Fergie was looking to protect him. Bournemouth like for like too, Anthony goes to the left of front 3 and Pearson slots into central midfield.

Jaidon Anthony for Christie and Ben Pearson for Rogers.

Coventry for Taylor and Ward for Dembele.
