LIVE BLOG: Posh v Sunderland

Last updated: Monday, 05 April, 2021, 16:39

  • 1-1 FT
  • Dembele gives Posh the lead off the bench after great work from Thompson
  • McGeady equalises straight from free-kick
  • Beevers diverts against own post late on
  • Posh stay second, now three points behind Hull

Eisa comes on for Szmodics in Posh’s last role of the dice. Fergie obviously thinks Pym will be ok.

Pym did show rather a lot of his goal to McGeady there and the free-kick was curling in towards the centre. He will carry on though after some treatment.

Pym has just caught a low cross from Hume but is now down holding his thigh.

That mistake is so costly and McGeady has put it into the top corner past Pym. That was all on Taylor, dwelled on the ball, got robbed by Taylor and just dragged him to the floor.

Taylor turns into trouble and drags down McGeady centre of the pitch, 25 yards out. Good shooting chance.

Skied effort from Hume over the bar after a knock down from Wyke. Sunderland now bring on Josh Scowen for Winchester.

There is space all over the place now. Brown is given time and plays through Szmodics on the right of the box. He runs onto the ball and shits it across Burge, its a tight angle though and Burge gets all the way down to make the save. Posh are now thinking can we kill this off? What a turnaround.

Posh have taken the wise route of keeping to go forward and Taylor shoots just over from the edge of the box.
