Gary Garnder sent off for serious foul play, terrible sliding challenge from behind on Thompson. Instant decision from thet ref, no hesitation.

Header flashed wide from Aneke. Deeney had done really well in the box to hold up Thompson and stopping him getting out there, giving Pedersen all the time he wanted to find the cross but amongst bodies, Aneke heads wide. The pressure has ticked up a notch but not overwhelming, yet.

Hour mark gone and we get a reset as Thompson stays down after a collision. A bit of magic spray and a few minutes and he’ll be fine.

Birmingham sub 59 mins

Final Blues chance. Renowned goalscorer off the bench Chuks Aneke replaces Jutkewicz. A bit more mobile that Jutkewicz but still puts his strength in the air.

Birmingham piling forward more now. A great leap at the backpost from Ward of people denies Jutkewicz a chance. Posh need to keep the ball a little better but that has become harder as Birmingham have packed the ball more in this half.

Great block Kent. JCH bundles Butler over by accident and Birmingham find space on the right to feed Colin, Kent emphatically dives infront of the cross. The corner then peeters out after Deeney is slightly unlucky to be caught offside from a knock-down.

Thompson is really angry about something that has gone on with the away fans. I’m not sure what it is but he’s pointed over at the crowd when talking to the ref and he’s then gone and had a word with the fourth official. Play carries on but he may here more about that after the game.

Posh had been under pressure in the first five minutes of the half. Cornell had just punched away a free kick and Posh broke out on the right Dembee was absolutely excellent, taking on Deeney and Woods and breezes past them. He cuts inside, picks out Grant, who takes a touch, has acres of space to pick out the right corner and it’s Posh 3-0.
