Ipswich Town have striker problems ahead of Peterborough United clash, but ex-Posh star is back and what are the odds on a repeat 4-1 performance by Darren Ferguson’s side?

Lanky Oli Hawkins is a definite absentee, while James Norwood and Kayden Jackson are both doubtful because of injuries.

That would leave Arron Drinnan as the sole available striker tomorrow.

He played in the 1-0 win at rock-bottom Burton last weekend. That was his first game in over two months Edwards who had been flying early in the season. The wideman is still the leading scorer for Ipswich in League One games with five goals.

The Tractor Boys also welcomed key youngsters Flynn Downes and Teddy Bishop back after injury at Burton. Ipswich have suffered more than most from injuries this season.

Ipswich signed winger Luke Thomas and on loan from Barnsley and attacking midfielder Josh Harrop on loan from Preston this week and they could make their debut against Posh.

Ipswich have won three of their past five League One games to stay on the fringes of the promotion race, although two of those wins have been against Burton.

Ipswich have struggled against the better League one sides at Portman Road with Portsmouth, Hull and Charlton all winning in Suffolk without conceding a goal.

One supporters group have written to the club hierarchy to demand the removal of manager Paul Lambert.

Remarkably, given the history and size of the clubs, Posh are slight favourites to win at Ipswich with Sky Bet.

Posh are 29/20 to win with the hosts at 7/4 and the draw 9/4.

Posh are 40/1 to repeat last season’s superb 4-1 win at Portman Road.

Posh are currently 6/1 fourth favourites behind Portsmouth (7/4), Hull (11/4) and Lincoln (5/1) to win the League One title. Doncaster are next best at 12/1 with Ipswich on 40/1.

Ipswich are currently three places and four points behind fifth-placed Posh, but they have a game in hand on Darren Ferguson’s side.
