Posh chief at the time Barry Fry agreed to let former Manchester United manager Ron Atkinson lead a documentary crew into the club to help them through a tough financial time.

Soon after it aired in 2006 MacAnthony purchased Posh even though the club was seen as a laughing stock by many who viewed the programme.

“We have been offered money to film a sequel to Big Ron Manager,” MacAnthony admitted on his popular ‘Hard Truth’ podcast. “And I haven’t ruled it out so watch this space.

“You wouldn’t see me in the dressing room though. I’ve never done that as even the managers who didn’t like me would admit.

“I did get thrown out once after a play-off semi-final win, but that’s ok as it’s supposed to be a safe haven for the players and management staff.

“I see players during pre-season and I can see them in my office, but I never see them in the dressing room.”
