Peterborough United star faces a spell on the sidelines
Peterborough United midfielder Callum Cooke faces three weeks on the sidelines.
Cooke was taken off in the first-half of Tuesday’s Checkatrade Trophy tie at MK Dons after suffering a twisted ankle in a challenge with home player David Kasumo. Kasumo was booked.
“It wasn’t a nice challenge,” Posh manager Steve Evans stated. “I think the referee only saw it through a crowd of players. If he’d had a better view he might well have sent the lad off.”
Cooke (21) was starting a game for just the second time following a summer move from Middlesbrough.
