It was sent in by ex-Peterborough Sports chairman Stephen Cooper for use in a feature on his club who tackle the biggest game in their history on Saturday, a last-16 FA Trophy tie at Oxford City. Brotherhood Works FC evolved into Peterborough Sports. The club still use the nickname ‘The Turbines’ in honour of a city-based factory who were world leaders in the manufacture of steam turbines. This picture is from the 1919-20 season when ‘The Turbines’ won the Northants League.

Sports have improved rapidly over the last decade. 10 years ago they were playing in Peterborough League Division One.
