Peterborough Northern Star will host March Town in the second qualifying round of the FA Vase after securing first round wins yesterday (September 1).

Star saw off Fakenham 2-0 at the Branch Bros Stadium, while March won a humdinger 4-3 at Bourne to set up a tasty clash on September 15.

Corey Kingston and Liam Rodden scored for Star, while Craig Gillies (2), Toby Allen and Rob Conyard were on target for March. Zak Munton, Jake Mason and Warren McSkelly were the men on the mark for Bourne.

Deeping Rangers smashed local rivals Blackstones 7-1 to earn their second qualifying round place. Scott Mooney, Dan Schiavi and debutant Danny Durkin all scored twice for Deeping after Michael Simpson had opened the scoring. Deeping now travel to Walsham Le Willows in a fortnight.

Wisbech St Mary were beaten 3-2 at Framlingham despite taking a 2-0 lead through Aiden Sewell and Ben Coe.

Pinchbeck United moved to the top of the United Counties Premier Division as a late winner from substitute Jordan Nuttell secured a 1-0 win at Cogenhoe.
