Wisbech Town suffered their first defeat under manager Gary Setchell last night (November 28). It was his 17th match in charge.

The improving Boston Town were the team to claim the record in a United Counties Premier Division fixture. It finished 3-2 to the home side with Josh Ford and a Danny Setchell penalty responsible for the Fenmen goals.

Deeping Rangers overtook Wisbech and Holbeach into fourth place on goal difference last night after a fine 3-1 win at Eynesbury. It was a good bounce back from Michael Goode’s men who had suffered a shock defeat at Rothwell Corinthians at the weekend.

Scott Coupland, Dan Schiavi and an Eynesbury own goal secured the three points. Schiavi struck with a typically brilliant free kick to give Deeping a boost ahead of their FA Vase tie this Saturday (December 2).

Holbeach booked a mouthwatering date with Yaxley in the UCL Cup semi-finals after a 3-0 quarter final cruise at First Division Harrowby last night. The hosts had a man sent off early on before Lewis Leckie, Spencer Tinkler and Dan Dougall scored the Tigers’ goals.

Blackstones predictably bowed out, but put on a decent show at Premier Division title chasers Leicester Nirvana. Jones De Sousa scored both Stones goals in a 5-2 defeat.
