NON-LEAGUE: Holbeach are daring to dream again

All eyes will be on Holbeach United tonight (September 29) as they and deliver another magical FA Cup moment.

Holbeach travel to Kidderminster to play National North Division Worcester City in a second qualifying round replay haveing earned their second chance in the most spectacular of fashions at the weekend (September 26).

Goalkeeper Ricky Drury secured a 1-1 draw for the Tigers with a last-gasp overhead kick from the edge of the penalty area, a moment that earned the number one plenty of national exposure.

Drury can expect to be busy again tonight against a Worcester side who will start as firm favourites. The winners have an even tougher tie in the third qualifying round at current National North leaders Solihull Moors.

Holbeach manager Darren Jarvis said: “Before Saturday, our players wondered if they get a result. Now we know that we can – and we’ll go there looking to win. I’m sure Worcester will give us the respect we deserve after the first game as we played very well and deserved the draw.”

Spalding have already booked their place in the third qualifying round and they return to Evo Stik Division One South action with a tough game at fourth-placed Daventry Town. Spalding have signed midfielder David Bell from Stamford.

Stamford AFC, who are next to bottom in the Premier Division, entertain sixth-placed Sutton Coldfield at the Zeeco Stadium. It’s a first home game in charge for new boss Andrew Wilson.

Wisbech and Peterborough Northern Star are in United Counties Premier Division action against Boston (away) and Sleaford (home) respectively.

Yaxley travel to rock-bottom Huntingdon tomorrow.
