Peterborough Northern Star are to face Peterborough United in a pre-season friendly.
A Posh development side will make the short journey across the city to Chestnut Avenue on Tuesday, July 14 (7.45pm).
The match will be Star’s first home outing of the summer and chairman Tony Zirpolo is hopeful it will attract a good turnout.
He said: “It is an honour for us to welcome a Peterborough United team to Chestnut Avenue.
“I’m very grateful to them for agreeing to the fixture and it will be a great test for our lads.
“It will be great to see two Peterborough clubs playing each other and hopefully it is something that will appeal to the local football community.
“I’m also hopeful it could be the first of many friendlies between the two clubs in the coming years.”
Admission prices have been set at £3 for adults and £2 for concessions - the same rate as all of Star’s home pre-season games this summer.
Children under 12 enter free when accompanied by an adult.
