Moulton Harrox are hoping to complete a league and cup double tonight (May 13), but Pinchbeck are out to spoil the party again.

The local rivals meet at Stamford AFC’s Zeeco Stadium (7.30pm kick-off) in the ChromaSport & Trophies President Premier Shield final.

Moulton’s first defeat of the Peterborough & District League Premier Division campaign came last month at Pinchbeck to briefly delay their title celebrations.

Harrox boss Dave Panton said: “We’re looking forward to the cup final. We beat each other at home in the league but we’re playing at a neutral venue on Friday so it’s all set up for a cracking night.

“We know each other well and it should be a good game. We trained on Tuesday night so I know my starting line-up and who will be on the bench.

“We had a look at the squad at home to Whittlesey Athletic a couple of weeks ago when we rested five players.

“We got back to business on Saturday against ICA Sports for a very convincing 4-0 win.

“We didn’t want to go into the cup final with a loss or a draw – especially as we also had the trophy presentation.

“The game was won after an hour then we took our foot off the gas.”
