A win at Deeping would have moved Wisbech up to sixth place in the United Counties Premier Division last night (November 26), but instead a 1-1 draw dropped them down one spot to eighth.

It took a goal seven minutes from time from Stuart Cobb to earn Wisbech a point after Ian Ward had fired the hosts in front in the 37th minute.

Wisbech enjoyed more possession, but Deeping created the clearer chances. Tom Smith struck a post for Deeping in the second-half.

The Fenmen were over-taken in the table by Thurnby Nirvana who won at Sileby last night. Deeping are 12th.

In Division One Bourne missed a great chance to complete a quick double over Raunds. The home side were twice ahead in the early stages, but went down to 10 men when conceding a penalty after just 17 minutes.

Harley Williams converted the spot-kick to make it 2-2, but Raunds scored twice despite being a man down to seal a 4-2 win. Jones De Sousa scored Bourne’s first goal.

There’s a top-six clash in the Premier Division tonight (November 27) when Huntingdon host Peterborough Northern Star,

Peterborough Sports, who lost top spot in Division One to Lutterworth over the weekend, are in League Cup action when tackling Premier Division side Sleaford at the PSL Sports complex on Lincoln Road.
