City rivals Peterborough Northern Star and Peterborough Sports could be heading for another FA showdown.

The FA Cup draw today (July 3) paired the United Counties League teams together in the preliminary round on August 29, providing both can win extra preliminary round matches against Newmarket (Star) and Eynesbury (Sports) on August 15.

The teams met in the second round of the FA Vase last season when Star won a seven-goal thriller after extra-time.

Local rivals Wisbech and Holbeach could also meet in the extra preliminary round.

The opening round draws in the FA Trophy and FA Vase were also made today.
