NON-LEAGUE: Goal-crazy FA Cup stars in league derby action

Free-scoring FA Cup stars Peterborough Sports and Yaxley will try and carry that form into their opening games in the United Counties Premier Division tonight (August 9)>

But they both face tough local derbies against teams who also made it through the FA Cup extra preliminary round at the weekend in comfortable fashion.

Sports, who thumped Gorleston 8-0 on Saturday, are at Wisbech Town - they also play each other in the next round of the FA Cup - while Yaxley, 12-0 victors over Huntingdon three days ago, host fellow title fancies Holbeach United at In2itive Park.

Sports, after their runaway charge to the Division One title, carry the burden of being Premier Division title favourites thanks to some impressive close-season recruitment.

Bourne host Whittlesey Athletic in Division One tonight. Bourne have yet to win this season, but Whitlesey won their first-ever game at this level last weekend.

March Town United are in Thurlow Nunn Eastern League Division One action at home to Haverhill tonight and there are four Peterborough Premier Division matches tonight including a game for reigning champions Moulton Harrox at Thorney.
