Oakham United are back on top of the Peterborough Premier Division following a 5-0 win at Langtoft United on Saturday (January 10).

Newboy Lewis Leckie, a Yaxley resident, scored four of Oakham’s goals. They needed a three-goal margin of victory to return to the top as previous leaders Coates Athletic were without a fixture.

Netherton United are moving menacingly towards the top two as they saw off lowly Crowland 4-1. The city side are rightly proud of their youth policy, but old-timers, and manager and assistant manager, Jon Harrison (2) and Ronnie Fortune were among their scorers this weekend. Fortune scored with a rocket shot from 45 yards.

Fourth-placed Stilton gained quick revenge for their PFA Senior Cuo drubbing at ICA Sports (January 3) by inflicting a first defeat on recently-appointed ICA manager Hamish Curtis. Karl Gibbs and James Nespoli scored the Stilton goals in a 2-0 win.

Jack Bloodworth, Corey Kingston, Matthew Oliver and Adam Richardson scored the goals as Peterborough Sports Reserves beat Sawtry 4-1 and Ashleiugh Baldwin’s second-half strike earned Thorney a 1-1 home draw with Holbeach United Reserves.

Riverside were well beaten at Pinchbeck and Deeping Rangers Reserves fought out a goalless draw with Uppingham Town at Outgang Road.

Moulton Harrox moved into the semi-finals of the Lincs Junior Cup with a 3-1 win after extra time at RM Imp. Billy King, MacAuley Grimwood saw Harrox through.

AFC Stanground booked a PFA Senior Cup quarter-final tie at holders ICA Sports with a 1-0 win over fellow Division One side Ryhall United. Nicky Mason scored the only goal.
