Manager Grant McCann’s selection for this evening could be a big clue as to his thinking for the starting line-up for the League One opener at Rochdale on Saturday (August 6),

It’s unlikely any of those, with the possible exception of midfielder Jermaine Anderson, starting tonight will be in the side at Spotland.

McCann said: “Saturday’s team is in my head, but there are still one or two decisions to be made.

“Jermaine Anderson needs another 45 minutes after he missed the recent friendly at Brentford as part of his planned recovery from long-term injury.”

Posh staged their annual pre-season squad team photo shoot and released their squad numbers for the 2016-17 campaign yesterday (August 1).
