MATCH PREVIEW: It's a friendly league game for Posh
Peterborough United will treat tomorrow's (July 30, 3pm kick off) friendly with Championship side Barnsley as a Football League match.
Posh boss Grant McCann will name a starting line-up that could well take to the field in the League One opener at Rochdale on August 6.
He will also name seven substitutes for the final first-team friendly of the summer.
Midfielder Jermaine Anderson will be back against Barnsley after being rested from the win at Championship side Brentford on Tuesday (July 26). Centre-back Ricardo Santos and winger Jon Taylor, the subject of transfer interest from other clubs, will not be involved after recovering from injuries. They will play instead at Ware FC, a Southern League side under the management of Posh legend Ken Charlery. Strikers Aaron Williams, Joe Gormley and Matty Stevens will also travel to Ware.

McCann said: “I have told the players this will be their toughest pre-season game of the summer. Barnsley have recruited well during the close season.
“I will be treating the match as a league game. I will name seven substitutes and make changes as and when I see fit.
“This is a good game for us. Everyone is still fighting for a starting place against Rochdale.
“Santos and Taylor will get minutes at Ware. They have both had knocks and therefore need games.”
Barnsley pipped Posh to the signing of Colchester midfielder George Moncur this summer. They have also signed strikers Tom Bradshaw and Elliot Lee from Walsall and West Ham respectively, The Tykes have also taken young LIverpool winger Ryan Kent on loan.
