The Under 18 Division One title race was thrown wide open on Sunday as the top two teams both suffered defeats.

Table-topping Peterborough Northern Star were beaten 4-3 by Riverside while second-placed Stamford slipped up 3-2 at Werrington Athletic.

Haydon Alberga (2), Darryl Edwards and Rhys Jones were the lads on target for Riverside while Werrington’s scorers were Conor Bryan, Ryan Hunter and William Woodard.

The results mean that only three points now separate the top five teams.

In Under 18 Division Two, it’s looking good for Spalding. They’ve now gone 11 points clear at the top following a 6-0 win at Blackstones in which Connor Bannister bagged a brace.

Hot-shot James Pam took his tally of goals for the season to 41 when firing a treble for Under 15 Division One leaders Northern Star Blue in their 7-0 win over Spalding.

Nathan Pickering and Liam Scales were also hat-trick heroes at Under 15 level. They both netted three for all-conquering Deeping in their 11-0 PFA Cup win over Rippingale and Folkingham.
