Top two prepare for key battle with easy victories, win-double for Netherton, magnificent seven for Peterborough Sports
Leaders Harrox maintained their seven-point lead at the top with a 4-0 home win over Peterborough Polonia last Saturday (October 13), while Thorney were easing to a 5-1 success over Tydd at Campbell Drive.
Danny Maddison, Marcus Parry, Martin Sandall and Joe Townsend scored for Harrox.

Hide AdSam Donohoe and Tom Hutton both scored twice for Thorney with Ondre Odain also on target.
Chasers Peterborough Sports Development, Holbeach United Reserves and Netherton United will all be praying for a Thorney win on Saturday.
They all kept in touch with Thorney at least by winning at the weekend. Andrew Irvine cracked a hat-trick, while Ethan Atkins and Ayman Trabelsi both scored twice for Sports in a 7-1 duffing of Long Sutton Athletic and Antonio Del Russo (2), Ritchie Baines (2) and Tom Randall scored the goals in Netherton’s 5-1 win at Ramsey.
Holbeach led 2-0 at half-time against Oakham through Cal Simmons and an own goal and hung on for a win after Michael Nelson’s second half penalty.

Hide AdICA Sports picked up a surprise win at Stamford Lions thanks to a second-half strike from Fabio Ramos and Sutton Bridge United pipped Ketton by the odd goal in seven.
There was a shock heavy defeat for Division One high-fliers Eye United who were beaten 6-0 at Crowland, but Netherton Reserves continued their bright start to the Division Two season with a 6-1 win over Warboys Town. Nuno Marujo scored four.
Stilton, 7-2 winners over Eunice, Huntingdon and Peterborough NECI, 4-0 winners at Stamford Bels Reserves, boast 100 per cent winning records in Divisions Two and Three respectively.
Matt Heron’s goal was enough for Whittlesey Athletic to beat West Wratting 1-0 in the Cambs Cup.
