Peterborough 2, Kettering 0. That was the score in the Northants Under 16 Cup on Sunday as both Peterborough Youth League sides overcame Kettering opponents to reach the quarter-finals.

Eye United smashed Kettering Warriors 9-0 in their third round tie at Lindisfarne Road with Harry Catanach, George Drummond, Jack Eldridge and Jamie Scott finding the back of the net twice.

And joining them in the last eight will be Peterborough Sports. They beat Kettering Grange United 3-0 at PSL thanks to a Robert Pearson hat-trick.

It wasn’t a bad day for Peterborough Youth League sides in the Under 16 Lincs Cup either with two Deeping teams and Pinchbeck United progressing to the next round.

Deeping Blue Under 16s won 5-0 at home against Cleethorpes Town with Will Mann (2), Elliott Ramsden, Scott Waumsley and Kyial West the lads on target while Deeping Under 15s hammered Discoveries Yellow 11-1 thanks to Alfie Ferguson (2), Nathan Lane (3 ), Alexander Moroz (2), Nathan Pickering (2) and Liam Scales (2).

Pinchbeck beat Boston 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
