Four cup finals were played in the city in three days (May 1-3) and Peterborough provided two of the four winners.

Ploughman claimed the Peterborough Sunday Morning League’s Hereward Cup competition with a 3-1 final win over Brotherhoods at Chestnut Avenue. The top-flight side beat First Division opposition despite a red card for Klodjan Memaj.

Amd Premiair gained revenge for defeat in the PFA Sunday Junior Cup Final earlier this season with a McCain Cup final win over AFC Allbright in another Peterborough Sunday Morning League competition. The match finished 1-1 before Premiair won 3-0 on penalties.

Two Peterborough League Cup competition finals took place at the Grange with Ketton and Spalding Town taking home the trophies.

William Bird, Alex Collyer and Alex Sismey scored the goals for Ketton in a 3-0 win over fellow Division One outfit Oundle Town in the Championship Shield Final.

And Spalding won the battle of the top two sides in Division Three, beating Peterborough Sports A 3-1 in the Intermediate Shield Final. All the goals arrived in the first half with Markus Parry, Martin Sandall and Joel Meadows netting for Spalding.
