There was a thrilling end to the Peterborough Youth League Under 15 Division One title race on Sunday.

Both Eye United and Pinchbeck went into their final games in with a shout of taking the honours.

But whereas Eye suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Deeping Rangers - Conor Burd scoring the killer goal - Pinchbeck made no mistake against Phoenix.

They ran out convincing 4-1 winners thanks to goals by Joseph Fowler (2), George Senior and Callum Clark to clinch the championship by a three-point margin from Eye.

In the Junior Alliance League, Northern Star were crowned Under 13 9v9 champions after two midweek games in quick succession.

A 1-1 draw with closest rivals Netherton followed the next night by a 19-0 thrashing of Crowland did the job as they finished six points clear of Netherton in the final standings.

In the big win against Crowland, William Palmer smashed eight goals and there were hat-tricks for Bradly Simpson and Ashley Bennett-Williams.

Hampton Navy claimed second spot in Under 11 Division Two after a 7-2 win against Oundle in their last game. Ethan Camfield scored four goals.
