Netherton win '˜match of the day', but still way off the pace set by Moulton Harrox, high-fliers fight out a goalless draw
First-half goals from Ritchie Baines and Chris Down proved decisive. Sam Donohoe replied for Thorney after the break.
Thorney stay second, a point ahead of Netherton who have a game in hand. Both are a fair bit off the pace being set by Moulton Harrox who are seven points clear ahead of their home game with Netherton this Saturday (October 6).

High-fliers Peterborough Sports Development and Holbeach United Reserves fought out a 0-0 draw, while Chris McRoyal bagged a late winner as Stamford Lions beat Sutton Bridge United 2-1.
There was a debut goal for Aaron McKenna as Tydd won 4-0 at Peterborough Polonia. Chris Ward scored twice.
ICa Sports’ struggles continued with a 1-0 reverse at Long Sutton Athletic and bottom club Langtoft United slumped to a 6-1 home defeat to Oakham United for whom Michael Nelson scored twice.

Division One leaders Parson Drove bounced back from a first defeat of the season to hammer Stamford Bels 7-1 and move 12 points clear at the top.
The top-of-the-table clash in Division Three was won 3-1 by Peterborough NECI over Thorpe Wood Rangers. Kyle Orange, Cory Rose and Andy Cook scored the goals.
