Peterborough Premier Division side Netherton United are confident they can claim a higher-ranked scalp in a Northants Junior Cup tie at the Grange on Saturday (2pm kick-off).
United Counties Division One promotion-challengers Stewart & Lloyds are the visitors and will start as warm favourites to book a quarter-final tie against another UCL Division One side Wellingborough Whitworth.
But Netherton manager Jon Harrison said: “I fancy us to give them a tough game. Rustiness might be an issue, but the fact we haven’t had a game for five weeks has made the lads hungrier than ever. I’m confident we can win.”
UCL Division One title favourites Peterborough Sports are already through to the last eight.
They have a tough tie at Division One rivals ON Chenecks on January 9.
