Leaders drop points for the first time, champions save a point late on, Parson Drove, Stilton, NECI and Limetree all on top

Peterborough Sports Development became the first team to take points from Peterborough Premier Division leaders Moulton Harrox on Saturday (September 15).

The match at Broad Lane finished 3-3 with Jake Newman (2) and Louie Venni scoring for the city side. Dalius Kisla, Danny Maddison and Martin sandall were on target for Moulton who hold a four-point lead over second-placed Thorney.

Thorney bounced back from two straight defeats to beat Ketton 3-1 at Cambpell Drive. Ondre Odain scored twice.

Holbeach United Reserves have jumped into third place following a 4-0 win at Peterborough Polonia and Netherton United’s 1-1 draw at Oakham United.

Reigning champions Netherton were five minutes away from defeat when substitute Josh Sanders popped up with an equaliser. Ben Easson, another replacement, had fired Oakham in front.

Stamford Lions suffered a shock defeat, just their second of the season, at home to Long Sutton, while Sutton Bridge United pipped Langtoft United by the odd goal in five. David Abbott scored twice for Sutton Bidge.

ICA Sports and Whittlesey Athletic fought out a goalless draw at Ringwood.

Hot title favourites Parson Drove are alreadt nine points clear at the top of Division after making it nine wins in nine matches with a 5-2 success at Wittering Harriers.

Stilton United are dominating Division Two although they had to come from behind to beat Netherton United Reserves 3-2 and make it 18 points in six matches. Lewis McManus, Jordan Fiddes and Dan Stephens scored their goals.

Peterborough NECI are top of Division Three after a 4-0 win over FC Peterborough Reserves and Premiair Reserves are top of Division Four following a 5-4 victory over Huntingdon Rovers. Joe Dobson bagged a hat-trick.

Newcomer Limetree lead Division Five after a 5-0 win over Hampton Reserves. Shane MacBeath scored four of the goals.
