Gunthorpe Harriers Under 11s were celebrating a Cambs Women’s & Girls League double on Saturday.
The city youngsters beat Haverhill 3-0 in the League Cup final at Newmarket Town FC to add to the league crown they clinched a fortnight ago.
Lucy Rowe, Carys Williams and Ellis Bishop were their cup final scorers and Zoe Bateman was voted player-of-the-match.
Deeping Diamonds Under 16s were also Cambs League cup final winners.
They beat Bishops Stortford 3-1 on penalties after their Friday night final at Newmarket ended all square at 2-2.
In the Under 13 League Cup final Alconbury lost 6-1 to St St Ives Rangers and Hampton were beaten 2-0 in the Under 13 final by Cambridge City. Both those finals were also at Newmarket Town.
On Sunday, Peterborough Northern Star Ladies travelled to Eastwood in Nottingham in search of an East Midlands League double after claiming the Premier Division title two weeks ago.
But they missed out after suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of their big title rivals Nettleham Ladies.
Back in the Cambs League, Hampton Royal went top of Under 12 North after smashing Chatteris 14-0. Nicole Hendrick scored four and Katie Henry hit three. Hampton need to win their last game against March Soccer School on May 23 to clinch the title.
