It was a great day (November 14) for teams at the bottom end of the Peterborough Premier Division, highlighted by Crowland Town’s 2-1 win over Deeping Rangers Reserves.

Crowland picked up four points from their first two games of the season, but lost their next 12 - including a 10-1 defeat in their previous outing - leading up to the visit of Deeping to Snowden’s Field.

But two goals from veteran midfielder Pat Dooner enabled Crowland to move up a place to 16th, two off the bottom.

Uppingham started the weekend in bottom spot, but a shock 4-2 win at Langtoft and a 3-1 success for Leverington over AFC Stanground means Riverside are now propping the rest of the table up.

Anthony Horn, Nathan Horrell and Tobi Woods scored the goals for Leverington, while Michael Botchway scored for Riverside in their 5-1 loss at home to leaders Moulton Harrox.

That’s 11 wins out of 11 for Harrox now. Ollie Maltby bagged a hat-trick for them with Bobby Patterson and Ashley Coddington also on target.

Peterborough Sports Reserves are back into second place after winning a city derby 2-1 at ICA Sports. Chris Brown and Dan Fountain scored their goals with Nathan Glover replying for ICA.

Holbeach United Reserves lost ground in fourth place after being held 2-2 at home by Ketton, but Whittlesey Athletic’s stealthy march up the table continued with a 3-0 home success over Sawtry.

Liam Harrold, Jacob Smith and Ricky Hailstone were the Whittlesey scorers.

Thorney booked a second round tie against Moulton Harrox with a 3-1 PFA Senior Cup win at Stilton. Roberta Da Silva, Leon Gellizeau and Dan Retzlaff were their goal heroes.
