It was goals galore for Peterborough Northern Star Ladies yesterday (October 7).

The first team found the net six times in their game at AFC Sudbury in the East Region Women’s League Premier Division while the reserves crushed Crick Athletic in Division One of the Northants Women’s League by a whopping 20-1 margin.

Cassie Steward (2), Emma Pollard (2), Bronwyn Mulheron and Chanade Henderson were the players on target in the 6-1 success at Sudbury - a result that takes them up to fourth in the table.

For the reserves Georgia Clarke helped herself to nine goals with Alexa Hunter scoring five, Brandi Davies four and Beatriz Almeida two.

Peterborough United Ladies drew both their games yesterday.

The first team were at Ollerton in the East Midlands League Premier Division and Kier Perkins and Jess Driscoll scored in a 2-2 draw while the reserves drew 1-1 at home to Earls Barton in Division One of the Northants Women’s League with Mia Newman getting their goal.
