After wins against Bristol Rovers and Millwall, Posh are looking for a hattrick and to close the three-point gap to Reading in 21st place.

Coventry come into the game struggling for league form, having not won any of their last six but the in-form Matt Godden will lead the line for Mark Robins’ side.

Posh sub 79 mins 1-2

Poku on for Szmodics

Posh causing their own problems again. Grant plays a poor underhit switch pass, Mumba doesn’t react and in comes Shipley. Whips it right into the danger area and Thompson has to slide it to take it off Gyokeres. Posh look impotent without Dembele, Jones failing to holn onto the ball.

Just as I say that, Gyokeres picked out in the box turns and fires a shot at goal, Cornell has to react quickly to tip over. He’s had a better second half but the damage has already been done.

Posh seem to have ridden out that Coventry storm for now. They’ve gotten more of a foot on the ball but yet to cause problems.

Jones robs Shipley and sets off into the box, does well but just gets crowded out in the end. Ends up with four men around him and little in support from teammates.

Bold change for Posh. Taylor off for Jones

Topscorer Viktor Gyokeres replaces Hamer for Coventry.

THEY’VE HIT THE POST AGAIN

Such a clever free-kick. Taken quickly by Hamer, passes out wide to Allen, he shoots and to his credit Cornell is alive to it makes his move and watches the shot across him clatter the far post. This is one-way traffic now.

O’Hare pushed down the the edge of the Posh box as he tires to cut in, free-kick on the D. Yellow for Edwards.

Still full on Coventry onslaught. They look very dangerous from set-pieces, another flashes into the Posh box, half-hearted penalty shouts when O’Hare falls as he looks like he’s about to get in the ball.

That’s an interesting one, JCH replaces Dembele. Obviously well documented problems before the match but he did not limp off. He had just given the ball away poorly.
