JUNIOR FOOTBALL: Crowland win a top award

A Peterborough Junior Alliance League club have won a prestigious Lincolnshire FA award,

A Peterborough Junior Alliance League club have won a prestigious Lincolnshire FA award.

Crowland Juniors FC received the Lincolnshire FA Chartered Standard club of the year award at last week’s awards dinner at the Lincolnshire Showground.

Chairman Danny Jackson, who has been involved in local football for Crowland for over 45 years, said it was one of the proudest moments during his involvement in football .

He added: “It was a great achievement for all involved with the club - the sponsors, the players, the supporters, and all the past and present committee members associated with Crowland Juniors FC who give up their time voluntarily every week for the kids of Crowland.

“We would also like to thank the Peterborough Junior Alliance League for nominating us for this award.”

Crowland Juniors currently run teams at every age group from Under 6 to Under 15.
