Jacobs goes crackers in front of goal for the Young Daniels

Hot-shot Lewis Jacobs has made a flying start to his Peterborough Youth League season.

On the opening day he scored twice for Stamford Young Daniels Yellows in a 6-2 Under 16 Division Two win over Park Farm Pumas Red.

On Sunday he was at it again, this time netting six times in a 9-3 win over stablemates Stamford Young Daniels Whites.

Also on target for the Yellows were Nick Henderson (2) and Morgan Thompson while substitute Alfie Addinall scored all three goals for the Whites.

In the same division there was also a 9-3 win for Stanground Sports at Tydd.

Their scorers were Joshua Borgognoni (2), Joshua Lovelock (2), Ben Muchina (2), Brandon White (2) and Liam Killingray.

Stamford Yellows and Stanground have both won two out of two, as have Netherton Hawks .

The Hawks were 7-1 winners over Pinchbeck on Sunday courtesy of goals from Joel Bearman (2), Jamie Feenan (2), Raiyan Mahmood (2) and Alexander Tedstill.

Liam Nightingale came off the bench to fire ICA Sports to a 6-0 win over city rivals Netherton in Under 18 Division One.

He hit a second-half hat-trick with further goals coming from Benjamin Denton, Brooklyn Gray and James Ware.

Werrington Athletic made a promising start to their Under 18 Division Two season, beating Glinton and Northborough Navy 5-1 in their first game thanks to goals by Steven Greaves (2), Adam Barker, Callum Boyes and Leonardo Rey.

Deeping Rangers Blue and Netherton United are the early pacesetters in Under 12 Division One.

Both made it two wins from two games on Sunday and are level pegging at the top with six points.

Deeping were comfortable winners at Thorney Colts. They cruised home 7-0 with Jack Carson (2), Max Olbromski (2), Will Hughes, Edward Barsby and Harris Rich the goalscorers.

It was a bit tougher for Netherton at Peterborough Northern Star White. Star put up a fight before Netherton edged it 4-3 with strikes by Daniele Akinyosoye (2), Awat Hamid and Harry Richmond.

The Star scorers were Harleigh Camfield (2) and Alfred Bedford.

There was better news for Northern Star Red in Under 12 Division Two as they won 7-0 at home to Deeping Clarets. Evan Watkins hit a hat-trick and Tyler Sansom, Louis Taylor, Jude Harrup and Ashton Stevens also netted.
