Hayes takes over as Wisbech Town boss

Wisbech Town have appointed Seb Hayes as their new manager.

The former Holbeach United boss will replace Gary Setchell, who quit at the end of the season.

Hayes resigned as Holbeach United manager in January after just over two years in charge at Carter’s Park.

Before then he managed Peterborough Northern Star and Huntingdon Town.

The 43-year-old from Peterborough said: “I’m extremely happy to have the opportunity to manage a club the size of Wisbech Town.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of managing at Step 4 and can’t wait to get started.”

In his two years at United Counties League Premier Division side Holbeach he won the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy and finished above the Fenmen in fourth place.

He won the Hinchingbrooke Cup with Huntingdon in 2014 and again when jointly in charge of Peterborough Northern Star in 2015.
