Cummings and strike partner Matt Godden both struck twice with Siriki Dembele also on target, but this was a terrific all-round display with Joe Ward also delivering an eye-catching display.

Aaron Chapman: This is a strong Posh defence with a dominant goalkeeper who is ruling his own penalty area. A smart low save from a Graham Carey header early on as well 7

Colin Daniel: Shored up his side of the defence very impressively. Came forward well and often, one fine cross turned in by Cummings, but he was offside 7.5

Rhys Bennett: Easy game for the big, powerful centre-back. Took no risks, made no obvious errors 7

Ryan Tafazolli: He had his hands full with Freddie Ladapo outside the penalty area, but he stuck to his task very well. Expert positional play helps him clear crosses effectively 7

Alex Woodyard: Another fine display from the skipper who picks up the pieces in midfield and rarely gives the ball away 8

Mark O’Hara: Covered a lot of ground as usual, but missed a sitter with his head in the early stages. It didn’t matter and he kept surging forward to try and make amends 7

Siriki Dembele: He keeps turning it on. Dangerous in the first-half when he scored with a fine finish from a tricky angle, Does his share of the defensive duties as well 7.5

Joe Ward: He’s been the revelation this season and he was outstanding here. Given lots of space on the wing and constantly delivered. He played a big part in the third goal with a glorious long ball to Matt Godden and he won the penalty 8.5

Matt Godden: Cool finish for his his goals at the start and end of the match and a lovely set-up for the key third goal. Posh appear to have found a terrific strike partnership. Missed one great chance early in the second-half 8

Jason Cummings: Two high quality assists and two goals. One missed chance, but his movement and anticipation is better than League One level 9
