As Pilgrims keeper Christian Dibble flapped at Marcus Maddison’s 35th-minute corner, the Posh man nodded his effort into the net via the inside of the post.

That interval lead was certainly what Peterborough deserved from their dominant opening 45 minutes, but a completely different XI taking to the turf for the second half saw Boston earn a draw courtesy of Lamin Colley’s 61st-minute finish.

Posh will also be left rueing an injury to Lee Angol, who limped out of the game in the 40th minute after appearing to turn his ankle.
