Local stars Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams and Dennis Harbour both suffered quarter-final exits in the Welsh Open last weekend (May 14/15).
Adams bowed out to eventual winner Scott Mitchell after losing 4-2 in their last-eight clash.
The Deeping ace had earlier accounted for Wouter Vaes (4-2) and Geert de Vos (4-3) to secure his quarter-final spot.
Harbour’s quest for glory was ended after a 4-1 defeat to Glen Durrant, the number one ranked player in the British Darts Organisation.
The city thrower had defeated Darryl Fitton (4-1) and Danny Noppert (4-0) en-route to the quarter-finals.
