The reigning ladies world champion Lisa Ashton is taking on the best of Cambs in the BDO Premier Division Championship at March GER Club this weekend (October 3/4).

Ashton has won the last two world ladies titles and is in the Lancashire squad to take on Cambs in an important match for the local throwers.

Cambs are bottom of the 10-team top flight, but welcome back England stars Martin Adams and Dennis Harbour for a match that starts at 11am tomorrow (October 3) and Sunday (October 4).

B teams play on Saturday with the A Teams competing the following day.

Barry Paget (Ivy Leaf, Whittlesey) and Roy Wojtowych (March GER A) make their Cambs debut.

Premier Division standings: 1 Essex 49pts, 2 Devon 42, 3 Lincolnshire 29, 4 Yorkshire 27, 5 Lancashire 27, 6 Hampshire 14, 7 Cheshire 12, 8 Warwickshire 12, 9 Cornwall 12, 10 Cambridgeshire 10.

Adams and Harbour both contest the prestigious Winmau Masters tournament in Hull next week (from October 9).

Former world champion Adams is chasing his fourth Winmau title. Only the legendary Eric Bristow has won more.

Harbour, now ranked 18 in the world, hopes to reach the televised stages by coming through the qualifiers on October 7.
