City darts ace Dennis Harbour won another big open tournament yesterday (March 8).
The Dogsthorpe thrower added the Isle Of Man Open title to the Scottish Open crown he won last month and again it was Glen Durrant who he beat in the final.
Up in Renfrew, Harbour overcame World Championship semi-finalist Durrant, 6-5 in the decider. This time at the Villa Marina in Douglas it was much more one-sided as Harbour cruised to a 5-2 win to pocket a first prize of £5,000.
And there were more prize scalps for Harbour on the way to the final as he beat his Cambridgeshire team-mate and World Championship runner-up Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams 5-1 in the semi-finals and former Isle Of Man Open champion Darryl Fitton early on in the competition.
He clinched victory over Adams in spectacular fashion, checking out on 161.
It was Harbour’s third Open success in the last five months as he also won the Latvian Open in November.
