Market Deeping recorded their first Lincs Premier Division win of the season thanks to their terrific teenage talent.

Deeping demolished Grimsby by 162 runs at Outgang Road to open their account in style. Alex Wheatley (19) top scored with 85 in their 241-8 before 16-year-old fast bowling prospect Patrick Brown (4-28) terrorised the top of the Grimsby batting order.

The visitors were soon in trouble against the pace of Brown and Tom Andrews (2-19) and were finally shot out for just 87.

Reigning champions Bourne are ticking along nicely, They are second after three games, but had to work hard before returning from Skegness with a three-wicket win.

Off-spinner Ben Stroud claimed a hat-trick towards the end of the Skegness innings of 181, but Bourne were 140-7 before Rob Bentley (48no) and Tom Dixon (20no) saw them over the line without further mishap. Captain Peter Morgan (55) had earlier scored well at the top of the Bourne batting order.

South African Warren Nel cracked 103 for Spalding against Market Rasen, but his side still lost by four wickets.
