Rutland League kicks off on Sunday

The Rutland League is the first local competition to kick off this summer.

There are seven games involving local teams spread over the top two divisions on Sunday.

First division champions Peterborough Town are not in action, but Lincs Premier Division title holders Bourne host newly-promoted Medbourne at the Abbey Lawns.

Some of the area’s leading clubs side are in friendndly action this weekend.

Rutland League Fixtures:(all 1pm starts, Sunday):

Division One - Barnack v Nassington, Oundle v Stamford, Wisbech v Eaton Socon, Bourne v Medbourne.

Division Two - Ketton v March, Whittlesey v King’s Keys, Ufford Park v Market Deeping.

Friendlies (Saturday) - Ketton v Oakham, Frinton v Ramsey, Market Deeping v Newborough, Kimberley v Peterborough Town, Sleaford v Bourne, Wisbech v North Runcton.

(Sunday) - Ockbrook v Peterborough Town.
