Orton Park teenager has opponents in a spin as competitive cricket returns, Freear starts ‘summer’ in fine form, two wins for Peterborough Town and one for Market Deeping, weekend fixtures
Orton Park’s teenage leg-spinner Divyeash Vaseeheran started the competitive season with a five-wicket haul.
Unfortunately excellent figures of 5-43 couldn’t stop the city side losing by 79 runs in a South Lincs Division game at Heckington last weekend.
Spalding were also in early South Lincs League action in the Premier Division and they also went down, by eight wickets at Skegness. Former Spalding player Warren Nel struck an unbeaten half century for Skegness.
