Cambs face an early exit from the Unicorns Trophy, the one-day competition for the Minor Counties.

Victory in this Sunday’s (May 10) group match against Suffolk in Bury St Edmunds is essential and even then Cambs will be relying on other results to go their way.

Cambs skipper Paul McMahon was disappointed with the way his side ‘managed the game’ in defeats last weekend against Herts and Beds.

Herts won by virtue of the Duckworth/Lewis method.

Peterborough Town‘s Asim Butt scored 50 against Beds. Town skipper Lewis Bruce returns to the side this Sunday.

Scores: Herts 220-7 (J. Arksey 3-48, S Rippington 2-46); Cambs 118-6 from (A. Butt 50, M. Cafferkey 43).
