Newcomer to the fishery Richard Chapman took the honours with a fine 217lb 3oz taken on worm and caster from peg 18.

The came Andy King with 173lb 9oz and Ben Townsend on 157lb 10oz.

The Over 55s match on Friday at Decoy saw anglers spread across two lakes with Six Island and Four Islands being used.

Paste expert Alan Wiggins took a comfortable victory on Six Islands. He fished his favourite bait close in on peg 22 to finish with 134lb 12oz.

Stan Dow took the runner-up spot with 115lb 9oz.

Over on Four Islands Danny Carlton was another angler on the pellet and paste approach. He topped the lake with 97lb 4oz, followed by Gus Gausden on 89lb 1oz.

HADDON LODGE

Weights were not so good at Haddon Lodge on Sunday. Out in front with a modest 23lb 13oz was Martin Harwood, who caught on soft pellet up in the water.

Runner-up with 23lb 10oz was Lucio Melillo then came Tony Moulds with 20lb 14oz.
