Peterborough Triathlon Club (PACTRAC) member Nathan Tweedie had a great weekend at the London Triathlon, coming away with a bronze medal in the Junior Elite Sprint (swim 750m, bike 16 miles, run 3 miles) race in a time of 1.00:52.
The previous weekend, Tweedie was i n rceord-breaking form when he smashed the record for the Serpentine River Nene 3-Mile Swim by four and a half minutes.
He clocked 1.09:05 and now holds the records for the one, two and three mile events.
Other PACTRAC results at the London Triathlon: 934 Andrew Russell 2:40:25 (Age Group 85); 2802 Nicholas Partridge 3:11:53 (Age Group 355).
PACTRAC held their annual Long Course Triathlon from Oundle at the weekend (swim 1800 yards, bike 38 miles, run 10 miles) and Paul Lunn emerged a comfortable winner in a new course record time of 2:57:03.
This was the eighth annual running of this event since 2008 and Lunn took 6:10 minutes off of Simon Hoppe’s 2012 course record. He set a new standard on the bike split by four and a half minutes.
